Austin on edge after spate of package bombs kills two

The Texas capital was on edge Monday after a spate of package bombings that have left two Austin residents dead and two others badly wounded.

The latest victim was a 75-year-old woman who was in critical but stable condition with "life threatening injuries" after the package she found outside her home exploded in her arms, Austin Police Chief Brian Manley said Monday afternoon.

Both cases bear "similarities" to the death of 39-year Stephen House, who was killed on March 2 by a package bombing that was delivered to his Austin home, Manley said.
